My autobiography.

Hi everyone! my name is Valentina Cid Torres, I´m 18 years old, I was born on September 25, 2002, at Dr. Victor Rios Ruiz Hospital in the city of Los Ángeles. My family consists of my mother Pamela, my father Fidel, my grandmother Eliana, my sister Daniela and my niece Vesta. I have always lived in a town near the city of Los Ángeles, which is called Canteras, from kindergarten to 4th grade I studied at the school Isabel Riquelme of Canteras, then I went to study at the school Padre Alberto Hurtado from 5th grade to 12th grade which is in Los Ángeles, and I´m currently studying Social Work in Santiago at the University of Chile.

Since I was a little girl, I have liked make-up, dancing, music and sharing with my friends, I was in Arabic dance, taekwondo and ballet. Currently my hobbies are make-up and exercise.

Hello my dear readers, I hope you are well, today I come to talk about a person whom I admire in the field of Social Work, she is:  Laura Jane Addams was born on September 6, 1860 in Cerdaville, Illinois, United States and died on May 21, 1935 in Chicago, Illinois, United States, her life took place in the context of profound economic, demographic and cultural transformations, generated by the American Industrial Revolution and the growing conversion of the country to the market economy. She was an important leader in the history of Social Work and in the suffragette movement in the United States and advocated for world peace. She was instrumental in the founding of the profession (social work) in the United States and in the founding of the Hull House, which was one of the first foster homes where they did social benefits which helped advance social reforms and was an active participant in many charitable organizations. The way to pick my career

Hi everyone, I hope you are fine. Today I'm going to tell you why I picked Social Work as my career and other stuff related to that. I picked this career because I always wanted to help people, but, in my perspective, it goes far beyond that. Social Work allows you to be related with different types of audiences and their realities. It's an instance that allows a pretty tight relationship between the person and the social worker, in which the social worker can solve the problems that people could have, giving them “tools” to get independent. Since I was little I went through different phases in the path of choosing my career, between my options I was considering: Law School, Psychology, make-up artist, stylist, secretary and another ones that I can't remember right now, but the last option I was considering was become a PDI, but at the end I discarded it because I wanted to be in the crime laboratory, but I thought about it and I was not seeing myself studying a science...
